Watch the Background

You don't always want to fill the frame with the subject like you do when making close-up images. Sometimes you want a little space around the subject, or you want to show the environment where the subject hales from. But make sure you watch the background. Keep distracting, or unappealing things in check.

The foal sure is cute, but the rear end of the adult distracts from its cuteness.

This is better, simply by moving a little, or waiting for the animals to move a little will make the image much more pleasing.
